Archers

“I began by placing my soul in our Lord's hands, after which I beg Him to use my soul as He would a bow urging Him to bend it so that the arrows would fly directly towards His enemies.”

St. Mary of St. Peter, Revelation from Jesus April 6, 1847

ARCHERS

Archers are the standard rank of the League of St. Martin

Archers are the next level above Defenders in the League of St. Martin. One does not have to be a Defender to become an Archer. Archers commit to attend the monthly chapter to pray the Rosary and the devotions to the Holy Face. Candidates are nominated by a member of the League or apply by filling out the questionnaire and approved by a Priest-Chaplain of the Association of the Holy Face. Those who do not know a League member may inquire about forming a league by filling out the questionnaire.

  1. Revelation — On August 26, 1843, Sr. Mary of St. Peter was given the Golden Arrow Prayer. “He then made me see that this frightful sin (blasphemy) wounds His divine Heart more grievously than all other sins, showing me how by blasphemy the sinner curses Him to His Face, attacks Him publicly, nullifies His redemption, and pronounces his own judgment and condemnation…He wanted to give me a ‘Golden Arrow’ which would have the power of wounding Him delightfully…I believe I saw streaming from the Sacred Heart of Jesus, delightfully wounded by this ‘Golden Arrow’ torrents of graces for the conversion of sinners.”

  2. Regulation — General Rules

    5. To wear a little effigy of the Holy Face, either on a cross medal or scapular;

    6. To assist, in as far as may be possible at the monthly Chapters or Leagues of St. Martin.

The Whole World Will Love Me

The Life of St. Therese of the Child Jesus and of the Holy Face

By Dorothy Scallan

Fascinating book about the hidden life of St. Therese of Lisieux and the secret cause of her holiness: the biography of Sister Mary of St. Peter and that her devotion to the Holy Face was greater than any of her other devotions. If everyone who loves this Saint knew of her love for the Holy Face, I dare say 1,000,000 will enroll into the Archconfraternity or Confraternities of the Holy Face! (Only available as e-book)
