Captains

CAPTAIN

A captain is the leader of a League of Defenders and Archers.

The genesis of a captain is varied. Some start as subscribers, then sign up as defenders. Then they either ask or are asked by a priest to lead a League of St. Martin. This is a leadership role and discernment is required from the captain candidate and the League of St. Martin. Unworthy candidates are vetted and not allowed to resume the role of a captain. The souls who are filled with virtue and especially charity are the ones most likely to be elevated to this role.

ARCH-CAPTAIN

An Arch-captain leads an Arch-League of Defenders and Archers.

When a League of St. Martin is elevated to an arch-league it may have several leagues under it. There is also an element of fruits, or longevity or some other guide post that a league has crossed to rise to this rank. There are only two more steps for an arch-league to come to a position to petition the local ordinary to become a Confraternity of the Holy Face.

CARDINAL-CAPTAIN

A Cardinal-Captain leads a Cardinal-League of Defenders and Archers.

When an Arch-league of St. Martin has shown a certain excellence in a region it is elevated to the cardinal-league rank. Adding to the qualities of an arch-league, there are even more excellent signs that promote it to a cardinal-league. At this point the sights of becoming a Confraternity of the Holy Face as Pope Leo XIII wished are becoming a reality, and they have one more step to go before petitioning for that prize.

PAPAL-CAPTAIN

A Papal-Captain leads a Papal-League of Defenders and Archers

At this level the papal-captain must have a good relationship with the bishop and priests of the diocese. Through the many years of rising through the ranks, the hope is that by the prayers and the graces of God, there will be a formal elevation and application to become a Confraternity of the Holy Face. This is the system that heaven has given in the Arch-confraternity of the Holy Face. Groups that meet once a month to pray for the end of blasphemy and the revolution against God and the Holy Roman Catholic Church!
